What are your Rotary New Year Resolutions? (I've updated mine since last week smiley)
Jim Becker asked that you come with one to share to the club.  Since I will not be at the meeting today, I will share here, with all of you, mine.  My resolution is to have 100% attendance.  I will achieve that my attending meetings regularly, doing make-ups through the e-club and by attending and participating in committee meetings for our various fundraisers. What will YOU do and how?  If you are looking for an idea, I am looking for someone to help me with the website.  Let me know if interested!  And I know Holley is looking for committee members and volunteers for the upcoming auction on March 16th.  Let's not forget our Annual Spaghetti Dinner...Dennis and Cleo will be looking to form their committee and we need all hands on deck!

A recap of what happened 2 weeks ago since our last meeting was cancelled due to mother nature!

50/50-So which one of the Becker's was called to find the Queen this time...Margie of course!  She was not successful?  Come to the last meeting of the year and you could walk away with a pretty nice pot if you find the Queen!

New members were inducted!  Welcome Tameko Patterson and DeAna Susinskas.

We had some awesome caroling by our club led by our very own Ginny Kirkwood.  Check out the video here! Or on our Facebook page!

The club had a special little visitor last week.  Jessica Peetz' daughter Hailey cruised around the room saying hi to all that she could and also got a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus!  Together they introduced Dr. Kerry Weiss, Hailey's Neonatologist from Geisinger Wyoming Valley.  He talked about prematurity, babies that are born going through drug withdrawal and the long term affects and costs to the families and society.

But while Ethiopia had been free of the disease, Yilma was shocked to learn that new cases had started cropping up in surrounding countries such as Somalia. “I was thinking, it’s not possible, we can’t be free if the countries around us are not free,” she says. Yilma, the managing editor of Capital, Ethiopia’s largest English weekly newspaper, has brought a journalist’s skills to the fight against polio. She became vice chair of the Ethiopia...
