Fellowship at Regina Farms on November 3rd so there will be no evening meeting tonight.
What happened last week?
 
50/50 - Bob Wehe was called to find the Queen and was unsuccessful.  $242 rolls over!  WOOHOO!!!!
 
Bryan Mower from the Fish and Game Management game to talk to us about why he has the best job in the world.  His tasks involves law enforcement that includes proper hunting, enforcing regulations and wildlife management; nuisance request where he traps and tags; and home issues where there are sick or injured wildlife invloved.  He does speaking and educational engagements to give the public information about wildlife and managing the animals.  He is on call 24/7 and is here to serve the community.

October was End Polio Month.  President Ruth Ann is looking for all club members to donate an additional $26.50 before October 31st.

John Kulba thanked all those involved with the highway cleanup.  They collected 33 bags of trash with 21 workers in 1 hour.

Rotary Foundation turns 100!!!
 
In 2016-17, our Rotary Foundations turns 100.  That’s a century of Rotary members changing lives and improving communities all over the world.  And that’s definitely something work celebrating.  Our district is going to have a Foundation Event on Nov. 12, 2016 to celebrate our Foundation.    We are looking for Rotarians from the district that have marketing and solicitation skills to serve on the committee and help make this event a huge success.  If you are interested in serving on the committee please email me at mbentler@nbtbank.com or call me on 570-862-6331.

When Teguest Yilma helped found the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa Entoto in 2002, she thought polio had already been eradicated from most of the world. But while Ethiopia had been free of the disease, Yilma was shocked to learn that new cases had started cropping up in surrounding countries such as Somalia. “I was thinking, it’s not possible, we can’t be free if the countries around us are not free,” she says.
