She attended her first Rotary meeting in 1979 at the age of 8 years old performing as a member of the Pocono Family YMCA gymnastics team.  Her grandfather, a past president of the club, paid a $2 fine and her name appeared in the Monrotary.  Later she became a Rotarian herself and was one of the founding members of the Stroudsburg Satellite Club.

Kim has been a practicing chiropractor in Monroe County for the last 21 years and will soon be celebrating 10 years at Mountain Valley Orthopedics.   She is married to Retired Master Gunnery Sergeant Bob Yarnall, US Marine Corps.  Together they have a blended family of six children and one grandson.

Philanthropy and community service are Kim’s greatest passions.  She is a 5 time marathon finisher and says she runs for “fun, fitness and a good cause” often as a community athlete for Semper Fi and America’s fund running alongside wounded veterans.  She served two terms as  President of the Pocono Alliance Board and is currently serving on the MCTI Academic Advisory Board, the MCTI Perkins Grant Committee, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Board of Trustees and in her second term as Chair of the Pocono Family YMCA Board of Directors.
