Nancy Brittain
Peace Fellowship

In 2005 I was invited to attend a meeting of Sayre Rotary and was so impressed with their welcoming that I immediately joined.  I currently have 14 years of perfect attendance (pre-COVID) and have served as President twice.  I am currently Sayre Rotary’s Foundation Chair.  After my first presidency, my club surprised me with a Paul Harris which I am extremely proud of.  I am now a Paul Harris x 4.

I was also given the honor of being named our District Rotarian of the Year for the 2013-2014 year.

At the District level, I served as Assistance Governor for Cluster #1 (the best Cluster in our District!) from 2010 to 2018.  I have served on various committees at the District level including Rotary Foundation, several District Conference Committees, and District Nominating Committee.  I am currently serving as the District Rotary Peace Fellowship Subcommittee chair.

In my professional life, I was co-owner, co-manager of Ajax X Ray, Inc. – Foundry Division in Sayre from 1984 until 2018.  The foundry was an aluminum and brass foundry with 35-40 employees.  It had been in existence since 1853 with almost continuous production.  However, due to foreign competition we were forced to close in 2018.  Since then I have been enjoying retirement!
