SGM Retired Mark D. Baylis

Sergeant Major Baylis served over 26 years on active duty. After Basic Training and AIT, he served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC and the 2d Bn 75th Rangers as a mortar Squad Leader prior to coming to Special Forces.

SGM Baylis entered Special Forces in July of 1983. He served two tours each with the 1st, 5th and 7th Special Forces groups and one at the Special Warfare Center responsible for training new Special Forces Soldiers.  He has served eight hostile fire and imminent dangers tours while assigned with Special Forces units.

SGM Baylis’s holds an AAS from Vincennes University and a BS in history and business from The University of the State of New York.  He has extensive military schooling and many awards and decorations.  He was made a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary for community Leadership assisting Veterans.

He is the founder and CEO of the VALOR Clinic Foundation.
