Greetings fellow Rotarians!  What a week we had last week!  Last Thursday night we had our first ever Reverse Raffle.  Don Hannig and his committee did a great job and what a fun night!  Lots of laughter was shared between all of those that had attended.  Our big winner of the $5,000 was Cathy Saunders from Natural Concepts Hair Salon in East Stroudsburg.

Last week we also had our first club assembly of the year.  We had an open discussion on our goals and the progression of those goals.  Some of the takeaways from the meeting are:
-Should RLI be a requirement for new members
-Enid Logan is the point person for visitors who are interested in joining
-Mentorship-looking at ways to develop mentorship relationships for new members for first 6 months to 1 year of their membership
-Leadership Development Participation-RLI Goal of 12 to participate and continue to find people who will assume leadership positions
-Projects to market Rotary and what groups Rotary supports.  Perhaps need to have committee established to make recommendation to board.  Build awareness to community to enhance awareness and strengthen Rotary presence.
-Membership as to come participate, support, join
-Marketing committee will make presentation

As you can see a lot was covered.  If you have any input or thoughts/ideas please share them with me.  I would love to hear them.   We have a few more weeks until our World Polio Day event on October 24th.  We have 15 restaurants, bars and wineries participating.  Be sure to share the event with all of your family, friends and colleagues!

Blessings,
Jeff Gilbert
