Rotary Programs Build Youth Leaders
Since the month of May is designated “Youth Services Month” Stroudsburgs Rotary focused articles and activities on topics which support the development of young people up to age 30.
Rotary has a long history of working with Youth—from providing scholarships, encouraging youth leadership and student exchange programs—to sponsoring youth-based service clubs. Youth Service is made sustainable as one of Rotary's five official Avenues of Service.
Youth Service Month is a special time in Rotary. Throughout the month of May, members of Rotary clubs find ways to engage in the opportunities Rotary provides to connect with one another, to grow through service, to develop leadership skills, to mentor or be mentored, and to just have fun.
Rotary International’s Programs for Youth:

RotaKids is a club for children up to 12 years. It is an initiative created from the Rotary principles and the idea of the child being aware of responsibility to society and the world.
Interact Clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills and learn about the world through service projects and activities.
Rotaract is Rotary’s Service club for young adults from 18 – 30. Rotaract can be Community based, College based or a combination of both.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership development program for young people who want to learn new skills, build their confidence, and have fun. Events range from one-day seminars to weeklong camps.
Rotary Youth Exchange is a travel program where young people ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries to experience a different country.  Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens.
New Generations Service Exchange is a short-term, customizable program for university students and professionals up to age 30. Participants can design exchanges that combine their professional goals with a humanitarian project.
Whichever program—it is clear that Rotary works to develop the next generation of leaders. Rotary’s programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education opportunities and learn the value of service.
