Last week we had RYLA Chair, Amy Leiser speak along with 3 of the attendees. 2 were campers that Stroudsburgs Rotary sponsored, Kiesha Leonard and Mannat Patel, and her son, Nate Leiser shared his experience as a Jr. counselor. The third attendee, Anabelle Cervone will be at this weeks meeting. Kiesha's parents were in attendance too.
Dave Yarosh and Past President Stacy Rodriguez volunteered at Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church Food Pantry on Friday August 1. It was a well oiled machine with all the different stopping stations to pick up the groceries.
If you didn't attend on Sunday, you missed a fun time at our annual picnic at Dave Fox's home. The weather was perfect. We had almost 20 members & friends attend, with 2 potential members. Tons of food by Rotarians and guests, and we appreciate Stroudsburg Weseleyan Food Pantry and Jo's Food Pantry for providing hamburgers, hotdogs, bratwurst, chicken & some extras for our event.
Who new Russell was so competitive when he made sure we played 3 games of cornhole because each team won one game. Russell Little and Cheryl Cloke were the winners. Past President Stacy was the only brave sole to get in the pool. Dave Yarosh took a swim after everyone left. Thank you Dave Fox and Carla for hosting our picnic again, we all had a great time!
August 16 & 23 we have service project opportunities. Thank you for those that signed up. Our new members Russell and Tiffany are already jumping into things and have signed up to help distribute backpacks.
