On Saturday December 12, 8 members of the Community Service Team gathered at the office of Family Promise in Stroudsburg to wrap presents and consolidate food boxes for three families. We were supported there by Timaki Johnson, a case manager from Family Promise. Your generous support to Stroudsburgs Rotary Gives Back at Christmas enabled the purchase of gifts for seven children. The team spent a total of $815.80 on these gifts. Each family will also receive a turkey and a large box of food, as well as various items of clothing for the children. Special thanks to Leslie Underhill for ordering the gifts from Amazon, Jim Becker and his Access Office Technologies team for their purchase and generous donation of a new bike for one of the older children, and to Lisa Baldwin for securing the food and clothing from Bushkill Outreach and Light of the World Church. |
