"Disease results in misery, pain, and poverty for millions of people worldwide. That’s why treating and preventing disease is so important to us. We lead efforts both large and small. We set up temporary clinics, blood donation centers, and training facilities in underserved communities struggling with outbreaks and health care access. We design and build infrastructure that allows doctors, patients, and governments to work together." ~ Rotary International

Recap Dec 4, 2025
Recap

Thank you Lauren Peterson, Executive Director at Safe Monroe for sharing your story. It was very impactful.
"Safe Monroe (formerly Women's Resources of Monroe County) offers FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services for anyone who has been a victim, or family members of victims, of domestic and/or sexual abuse. Established in 1980 we have grown and expanded our services to meet the needs of victims and survivors in our area. Domestic and sexual abuse know no boundaries – women, men, children, teens, LGBTQ+, young and old; anyone can be a victim of abuse, therefore anyone can be eligible to receive services at Safe Monroe." from Safe Monroe website

Stroudsburgs Rotary Foundation

District Update

District Governor Tim Genetti attended and shared some concerns at our lunch meeting.  Rotary International wants to merge District 7410 into larger District. A letter was sent disputing this. The only possibility for success is that our District 7410 needs to maintain 1100 active membersAll clubs are doing their part to bring in new members who will be engaged in joining our Rotary family. DG Tim Genetti's goal challenge for Stroudsburgs Rotary is to net 6 new members.  Let's aim for 10 before March 31.  We have two new applicants, let's keep them coming.  If any Honorary Rotarians are able to become active again that would be very helpful.
