Carol Anderson of Bloom Bangor- Art with a Purpose spoke about the non profit.  Bloom provides a residential program for women who need help getting back on their feet after domestic violence, addiction or sex trafficking.  They house 8 women at a time.  They accept no federal or local funding, all self funded.  Participants receive counseling, free housing and support through a volunteer network.  While at Bloom they open a bank account and obtain a drivers license.  The two year program works towards ensuring the women are self sufficient.
