Annual High School Leadership Luncheon
Time is winding down to sponsor and register for this great event that recognizes student leaders in our community.  Here are the ways that YOU can help:

What Happened Last Week?
Angie Ortenza was called to find the Queen!  No luck in finding the queen.  Better luck next time.  $172 rolls over!
 
Announcements:
  • 2 WINNERS for the Santosha Stay from the Club's End Polio Now Campaign.  Samantha M. from the Tunkhannock Rotary won the two night stay and Gail Kulick from RCOTS won the corporate meeting space.  CONGRATS and thank you!
  • Jessica P. has sheets to sign up for Rotary Foundation online.
  • Saturday November 17th District Foundation Event.  Go to https://portal.clubrunner.ca/50202/Event/rotary-foundation-event for more information and to register.
 
Program: Foundation True/ False contest won by all true voters- Sweet Success to all Winners!
 
Russ Obrien,  the Regional Foundation Coordinator presented to the Club.  He has been with the Upper Darby Club since 1985. 
  • People of Action Campaign - How can we use Rotary Foundation to help us help people?
  • 4 Star Rating on Charity Navigator 11 years in a row.  91% of $1 taken in goes to programs. 
  • Funds shared over 6 different causes.
  • 3 years after donating 50% goes to Worldwide and 50% goes back as District Designated Funds. 
  • Global grants can go anywhere including USA.
  • District grants more limited but easier to receive.
  • Paul Harris gifts of $1,000 or more make up 41% of contributions.
  • Rotary Direct - online giving/easy to use
  • Gifts of any size have an impact.
