On behalf of Stroudsburgs Rotary, past President Don Hannig (pictured with headmaster Rotarian Ed Schaefer) presented an "outstanding achievement" certificate to Carter J Brown who received his Eagle Scout on Saturday. Carter is the son of Rotarian Rosemary Brown. Congratulations to all. What a wonderful achievement!!!

Dee Raneri, Director of Community Programs, was last week's speaker. Dee shared about all the different events that go on at the campus, also stating that there are room rentals available for different occasions.

 

At the evening meeting, past Rotarian Lucy Shunk brought her skills and lots of art supplies to make Valentine's cards for Meals on Wheels. We made 71 cards which makes the total 171. We may bring some cards to Pleasant Valley Manor to bring smiles to the seniors there.

Wednesday night the membership committee invited new members to an intimate round table discussion at Membership Chair, Leslie Underhill's home.  We appreciated the potluck dinner she provided with soups, salads, chili etc. TJ Price brought her husband, Walt Price, who made two delicious loaves of bread.  Lee Bourjolly attended with his wife Chiffon, and he will be inducted at the satellite meeting on Thursday.  Chiffon, even though not a member, was engaged in the conversation too. Lee's empanadas were fabulous. Todd Nemura brought his appetite and new energy to start setting goals and structure.  TJ Price is on board too.  Kate brought her passion and is full of ideas. Can't wait to see what this new year brings.   

Again, our condolences to Chuck and Maureen Niclaus. Chuck and Maureen were very appreciative of the Rotarians that were able to attend the viewing and/or the mass, and those that reached out and all that sent prayers for his family.  They appreciate all that our club has done and below I am sharing a thank you to Stroudsburgs Rotary.
