What Happened Last Week?
Frank Herting was lucky in having his number called but no luck in finding the QUEEN.  $99 rolls over. 
 
Announcements:
  • November is Polio Awareness Month.  You have 2 weeks left to purchase $25 Raffle Tickets for the End Polio Now Campaign.  You could win a 2 night stay at the Cottage at Santosha on the Ridge, or a small gathering/meeting in the space.  Bring your check books to Rotary this week.  The drawing is 11/1/2018.
  • RLI on 10/27 at Lackawanna College.  The Club can sponsor two more members for this event.
  • Leadership is around the corner.  Looking for sponsors.
 
Program: John Nanni - Polio Survivor
  • 2 million polio survivors in North America and 20 million around the world.
  • Prior to the 1950's Polio was feared.  Hospitals were limited to using lung machines.
  • There are 19 cases of Polio world wide this year. 
  • Rotary helped prevent 16 million cases of polio and preventing 1.7 million polio related deaths.
