Dave Yarosh of Vector Security did his classification talk on the changes within his industry. So much has changed in the last 20 years. Everything has gone digital. Some tips that he shared was to making sure you have double verification for things that require a password, putting timers on your home and pruning your bushes in front of your house. He has been in the business for 24 years and is thankful for the business referrals he has received from fellow Rotarians! Instead of speaking about her vocation, Ann Super spoke about her AVOCATION...post-retirement life! Before retiring she has worked as an adjunct Professor for Lackawanna College and retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot after 29 years. Although she chose retirement, she did not want to be a porch rocker so she jumped right into volunteering. Her experience in volunteering has brought her to the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Pocono Mountains United Way, The older Adult Learning Community (TOALC), the Eastern Monroe Public Library, Ambassadors of Pocono Cinema, Meals on Wheels, her church and Rotary. Ann ended her classification talk stating, "So this is my new season-how I choose to spend my "go-go" years and I hope you are also finding that fulfillment for yourselves-the way to use your God given talents in the time you have, either through retirement or your current employment. |
