Youth Chair Heather Nowosad will award the scholarships this Thursday at lunch, "Service above Self Award and the scholarship. The scholarship winners will be invited with their parents & announced at our June 1 meeting. Please attend if possible.

Updates from May 23, 2023

A wonderful presentation by James Thomas during his time in Israel/Palestine. We had technically difficulties so his slide show presentation was expressed to us. James Thomas' humor left us with laughter, which is good for the soul. (I was so engrossed that I forgot to take a picture.)

Thank you Frank Herting for the maple syrup gifts that you are bringing in as thank you gifts for our speakers. They really appreciate the acknowledgement.

$2,000 for the global grant, that Stroudsburgs Rotary participated in with other clubs in District 7410 and District funds, for the Ukraine Water Filtration Systems will be going out this week. Thank you to those that donated specifically to this cause. If you are able to donate it's not to late.

Blakeslee Club is looking for assistance at their fundraiser Sept 3

Blakeslee Rotary Club is looking for some helping hands for our Car/Truck/Bike show this year. The event is being held Sunday September 3rd (rain date 9/4) at Pocono Raceway.

We need help with vendor set up, general set up, car registration, and then help through out the day. Set up starts at 8 am, the event runs till 3 and the break down. Please let April know if you can help.

The Mt Pocono Club had their Fly-In Breakfast on Sunday. It was a wonderful event. There was a remembrance for Vern Moyer for everything he has done with this event. Thank you to those that were able to get out and support the event and their fundraiser. Dave Fox (on behalf of the aviation) was their directing traffic and Stacy Rodriguez volunteered to face paint at the event. Everyone had a great time, the weather was beautiful and the kids enjoyed free airplane rides.
