September is National Suicide Prevention Month

As Danica said last week, people are struggling,
if you have a gut feeling about a friend or a loved one, reach out to them.
Give a quick call to see if they're okay.
Sometimes we are that person.

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you,
doesn't mean you can, should or need to do it alone."

Recap Sept 12, 2024
Recap
A big thank you to President Kenneth Long, ESU President for sharing changes from his last talk in 2021 to now.  Many changes have been made to offer online classes to students and offer single dorm rooms so that students could learn and study without distractions of roommates and their friends.

Having fun with birthdays 🥳
Kirby was a good sport and wore his birthday hat all day.

A few Rotarians were able to make it Gary Roberts funeral. It was a very nice service with a military honor. Michelle and Cherese appreciate our condolences. Rotary was mentioned in his Eulogy and it was said, Rotary was Garry’s way of life.

Thank you to the Rotarians that helped during PM United Way Day of Caring. I do not have a full list of who helped however Leslie Underhill helped with Meals on Wheels, Lee Bourjolly helped at Safe Monroe, Pres. Stacy helped at Quiet Valley Farm and Jeff Gilbert worked at the YMCA with First Keystone with the heart of a Rotarian.

Breakfast at Barley Creek with Michael Tukeva of PMUW.
Some worked, while some just hung around… it was a great day being of service.

With 11 cards left Pat Sayler's number got picked, and the Queen appeared. Pat won about $42?

50% to the club, and the other 50% gets split- 1/3 goes to the one who picks for the Queen and 2/3 gets rolled over.
