Rotary Monthly Focus
February is Peace & Conflict Resolution Month

From Rotary International:
"We refuse to accept conflict as a way of life.
Rotary projects provide training that fosters understanding and provides communities
with the skills to resolve conflicts."

February is also Black History Month and Valentine's Day!
Let's promote peace and love.

"When you're in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it.  That factor is attitude."
~William James

With that being said let's look into building friendships.  We are not just looking for more members, we are looking to build friendships. That's what keeps people coming back, that's why people join, because they feel wanted, they could share their thoughts, ideas, ambitions, and goals. Let's work towards that.

**We had some great members that built those friendships, and we feel their loss now that they are gone, they made you feel special and nurtured you.  It's time we do the same. Challenge - reach out to a member and build a friendship, or bring a friend and share a friendship. Members don't stay long but friends continue to be involved.

RYLA 2025 will be held Sunday, June 15th through Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at Keystone College in LaPlume, PA.
For budgeting purposes, the cost per student is $375.00, which is an incredible value for all this 5-day/4-night program offers. The clubs sponsor the students.
RYLA provides leadership training to area young people. The schedule is full of activities that engage students physically, mentally, and emotionally to strengthen their relationship skills, build their self-confidence, and give them the tools they need to be leaders.

Again this year, the application will be available online. Applications are open and the link can be found on the website: https://portal.clubrunner.ca/50202/sitepage/ryla
