Thank you Bob Heil, the Executive Director of Brodhead Watershed Association. BWA is a non-profit focused on clear water initiatives.  Most of their work is done by volunteers.  Monroe County has 311 square miles of watershed all of which drain into the Brodhead Creek or Delaware River.  As much as they focus on maintaining clean water for today, they are more so strategically planning for clean water over the next couple of decades. BWA connects people with water and nature.  Some ways they are doing this is through community hike days, rain gardens, rain barrels, stream watch program and the native plant sale.  BWA is moving to a new home, a joint project with Pocono Heritage Land Trust at the former Evergreen Golf Course.  This will house both organizations and be a place to offer education and overall awareness to their respective programs.
