John Parker Memorial
There will be a Memorial Tribute for our friend and fellow Rotarian John Parker on Saturday October 26th at 1pm.  The service will be held at the Stroudsburg High School auditorium.  Visitiation with the family will follow after the service.  Please continue to keep Mary Louise and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
President's Corner
Greetings fellow Rotarians!
Thank you for everyone participating in the recent Rotary events including the Reverse Raffle, the Pints & Pinot 4 Polio crawl, and the Community Dinner at St John’s in Middle Smithfield.  Your presence at these and all of the Rotary events has helped to make the first part of the Rotary year successful.  Also, I would like to thank all of you who were able to make the John Parker memorial tribute this past Saturday.  It was a wonderful event and I know that Mary Louise was very appreciative of the day and the support shown to her and her family.

We do have some upcoming events in November including our annual Leadership Luncheon event on Thursday November 21st at the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort.  The Luncheon will be our weekly meeting so please come out and support the young leaders from our County Schools.  We do need help with sponsors for the cost of each student’s lunch so please consider paying 1 or more of the students (We anticipate that the number of students will be 150+).  The cost per student attending is $25.  Please see Jim Becker if you are able to sponsor a student or if you would like to be a “Corporate or Individual” Sponsor.”

Blessings,
Jeff Gilbert
2019-2020 President

Rotary Leadership Institute

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program of member districts organized into regional divisions in various parts of the world.  RLI is a recommended program of Rotary International.  RLI seeks to provide quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills to Rotarians interested in developing their Rotary participation and to those identified by Rotary Clubs as having a potential in club leadership. These educational opportunities will teach skills that will benefit the members in their lives and in their volunteer service.  Ask a club member if they had went and what were their takeaways!  One is coming up October 26th in Scranton.  Click Here to Register.  Our club is offering scholarships so see President Jeff for more information!
