Recap: RYLA follow-up with students Dillen & Emma Thompson was a huge success. Even though the event was 2.5 days the students got a lot out of it. Those that were able to attend Stroudsburgs Rotary Annual Picnic and farewell party for Karen DeMatteo had a great time. On behalf of Stroudsburgs Rotary, Dick Ludwig (our beloved photographer) presented Karen with a memory book of the service projects during her year as Governor. Karen held it together and didn't cry. We had some great attendees/friends from the District join in our celebration too. PDG MaryEllen Bentler, DGN Bill Skinner and his wife, DGE Samantha Maruzzeli and her husband, PDG Dave Palmer and his wife and Tim Genetti and his wife. Karen was touched that so many traveled such a distance to say their goodbyes, it was a very nice representation from around the District and shows how much impact she has made. Mark Baylis from Valor met with PDG Karen DeMatteo and presented Stroudsburgs Rotary with a plaque of appreciation, which she presented at our last meeting to our Rotarians along with President Dave Yarosh.
