On May 7, 2025 District Governor Bill Skinner and President Stacy Rodriguez attended the NEPA Youth-Led Leadership Conference gala dinner at Kalahari where we shared about what Rotary is and the opportunities it offers to our youth. The DG Bill Skinner awarded Leyla Yilmaz the $1,000 1st place award for winning Rotary District 7410 essay contest. Congratulations Leyla. Leyla will be attending May 22 to read her essay to the club. Thank you to all Rotarians that went and paid respect to Jim Becker's mother. Jim appreciated all of you for attending and keeping his fmaily in your thoughts. It was a wonderful service and at the viewings each guest received an ornament that Stella (Jim's mother) acquired or made. She loved the outdoors and birds. I hung my little bird remembrance on my plant. Another wonderful remembrance that the family shared with all guests were Stella's poems printed on placemats at lunch. Remember to tell your loved ones that you love them. |
