A big thank you to Todd Nemura, with the United Way who filled in as our speaker, discussing different investment ways of giving back financially and of your time.
 
Our evening speaker was Artist Clavertis Miller, who discussed mostly about African sculptures from Zimbawee. John Dennis holding up one of the beautifully detailed pieces.
 
 
Community Service
Opportunities discussed at our Wed meeting:
Little Free Libraries - we have collected over 200 books which have started to be placed in the boxes around town. 
April 22 - Roadside Cleanup 8-9am
April 22 - Day of Giving - Family Promise -10-2pm (any amount of time is appreciated)- organizing their donations in 6 garage bays. Any help is appreciated  
April 29 & 30 -Mady's Community Dinner - Cooking on the 29th and serving on the 30th
 
Wish List for Family Promise: 
Toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, laundry detergent, sanitary items, body wash, tooth brush, toothpaste, etc.

Grant applications
Grant applications have been emailed. Please reach out to local non profits that could use a grant. Our donations raised from the reverse raffle will help make their situations a little bit better.
 
REVERSE RAFFLE
Please bring in any ticket stubs and raffle prizes you may have picked up or donated yourself. Keep on selling, this is our largest fundraiser to help our community.
We have golf foursomes, adult beverages, restaurant gift cards and more....!!!
 
District Happenings
There was a great turnout for the District Grants Training session in Tunkhannock. The President and President Elect have to take the training but it is open to anyone.  the Board members are encouraged to attend in person or online. One more in person opportunity in Drums, PA.

RLI is back. The virtual sessions have started. If you are able to sign up for the in person  RLI in Wilkes-Barre we highly recommend it.
There are many wonderful ideas from others in different clubs and Districts.
