Recap - Last week we had Eric Klimes owner of WebLeaps share about understanding AI and how to use it. It's not always accurate and you may need to be more definitive in what you ask it, as shown by the picture he asked it to make of himeself. WebLeaps is a family-owned and operated business located at the foot of the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, providing a full range of services including web design, maintenance, hosting, and domain name services. WebLeaps link Past President Stacy Rodriguez presented the 2024-25 Buzz Bensinger Award to a well deserved Rotarian, Kirby Upright. This award is Stroudsburg Rotary’s highest recognition of a Monroe County citizen (Rotarian or not) who has made significant contributions to the community in which we live. Recipients are successful in their vocation, have taken on leadership roles, are known for their high commitment to community service and are selfless in their acts of philanthropy. In short, Monroe County and our community is a better place to live because of the time and commitment these recipients have given. Recipients truly exemplify the Rotary motto “Service Above Self” in the Improvement of our community. The awards namesake, Buzz Bensinger, was one such individual who would be proud of the accomplishments of our past, present and future recipients. Join the Summit this Saturday and learn more about Rotary. Carpool if you can. STROUDFEST was a great day, however, seemed a little different than other years, not as much traffic. Thank you to everyone that volunteered in helping setup, pass out popcorn, sold water, shared about Rotary, brought supplies, tents and banners, made balloons and helped breakdown. Pres Ed Schaefer, John Beljean, Jeff Gilbert, Dinoli Rowlands, Jennifer Rodriguez, Tricia Wingerter, Leslie Underhill, Gene Prospero, John Dennis, Russell Little, Tiffany Lyons, Dave Yarosh, Timaki Johnson, Trudie, TJ Price, Past President Stacy Rodriguez, who made balloon sculptures for those that mad a donation towards the Texas flood victims and whoever else that may have shown up and not signed up. Scouts of America were stationed with us selling their raffle tickets to win a Yeti cooler. They were go getters. |
