At last week's meeting, Past President Don Hannig presented Maria Candelaria with her Years of Service Certificate. Don discussed that Scoutmaster Tim Lloyd Troop 86 spoke to the Board about Stroudsburgs Rotary being a Charter Organization for the Boy Scouts. The Board approved it.

Don't forget to sign up for our 100th year History video and book presentation for next weeks meeting. No lunch or dinner meeting on Sept 29 only the evening presentation.
Also sign up for some fellowship with the 1.5 hour train ride from Honesdale to Hawley. See below for more information.

The evening group ventured to Wind Gap where we attended a joint meeting with the Slatebelt Rotary so we could listen to District Governor Craig Devenport.   We had a nice time and then had some fellowship afterwards.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing BBQ was a small but mighty event. The wounded Veterans that were able to attend appreciated all that we did for them. They loved being outside by the creek communing with nature.
We appreciate all the Rotarians that were able to come out and help plan, setup, serve, mingle, and cleanup. We had a respectful memorial table setup in honor and remembrance of our long time Rotarian John Parker. It was nice to have Mary Louis Parker in attendance and being part of an event that was near and dear to John Parker's heart.
Thank you to:
Ray Starner for the use of his property on Mc Michaels Creek. Always such a beautiful serene place for our wounded Veterans to come and relax, enjoy some fellowship, eat and fly fish
Our Trout sponsors, Bob Lear and Tricia Wingerter and Big Brown Fish Hatchery for matching our fish donation. The stream was stocked by 100 brown Trout and matched with 100 rainbow Trout
Ginny & Charlie Kirkwood, and General Manager Rob Howell, of the Historic Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort for providing and coordinating the delivery and pick up of the tables and chairs, with beautiful yellow table cloths
Gotta Go Potties for providing a porta john for the Veterans
Gene Prospero and Leslie Underhill for taking there full size grill apart and bringing it to Ray Starner's
Our food donations from Jo's Food Pantry, St. John's Church in Middle Smithfield, Stroudsburg Wesleyan Food Pantry and the Rotarians that provided side dishes
Our Rotarian volunteers, Leslie Underhill, Bob Lear, Stacy Rodriguez, Peter Andrews, Eric Keber and his wife Olga,  President Dave Yarosh, Tanya Morales, Trudy Lear, Dick Ludwig and Ray Starner (if I forgot to mention your name my sincere apologies, your service was not forgotten)
We thank Heide Cebrick from Project Healing Waters, Glen Lippencott from Trout Unlimited and Ed Transue from Ultimate Veteran Adventures
We appreciate Blue Ridge Cable for covering our story

A little fun in the Club: There seems to be competition with Chuck Niclaus. Who Wore it Better (missing Tricia this week)
