Greetings fellow Rotarians!
Thank you to all that came out to StroudFest on Saturday.  It was a great day as I, (thanks to Stacy) was out and about the streets of Stroudsburgs as a balloon flamingo.  Rotarian Stacy, GREAT JOB and thank you for your AWESOME balloon art and the great mention about Rotary in the Pocono Record.  If you did not get to come, you missed a great time but don't worry, there is still more opportunity to be involved in a Rotary activity.  Check out all the photos here and if you have any that you want to add to the album, email
We have the Bob Wehe Memorial Blood Drive on MONDAY.  It looks like we still have some open slots left.  Sign up for your time today.  Be sure to look for the event on Facebook and share it with your friends to sign up too!  CLICK HERE to sign up!
In October we have the Reverse Raffle and Pints and Pinot for Polio.  There are several restaurants we have participating so be sure to check it out.  Both events are set up on Facebook so let's make sure we share it to our pages.  SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

My Journey with Lyme Disease
Nikki O'Malley came to our club to share with us her journey with Lyme Disease.  She says that this disease has taken everything from her and she was in a wheelchair barely able to talk, walk or see.  She thought it was about to take her life but it did not due to the support from her family and their search across the country looking for answers.
Common symptoms of Lyme Disease are headaches, cognitive issues, gout, nerve pain, sleep disturbance and heart palpitations.  She had undergone blood testing that was looking for antibodies but it isn't always found in the bloodstream.
She talked about the documentary "Under Our Skin.  You can view the trailer here for more!
Paul Harris Fellow Recipients
Stroudsburgs Foundation chair Jim Becker awarded Rotarians Don Page and Walt Peeney with a Paul Harris Fellow Award.  For those newer members that may not know what a Paul Harris is, it is recognition that acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation.  You can learn more about Paul Harris here.

Let's hear about WHY you JOINED Rotary and WHY you STAYED a ROTARIAN!  The marketing committee would like to do features of our members.  We would do a Facebook Live video to have it recorded, and include it on our website, MonRotary and District Newsletter.  Email if you would like to participate!  If you have any questions, call Jessica at 570-269-2891.
