H.S. Leadership luncheon

We appreciate our $1,000 of our donors for the high school leadership luncheon and all Rotarian's that have sponsored students.  Please keep spreading the word so we can cover all the students. We have until Wednesday to get everyone listed in the booklet, however we will still accept donations for the scholarship foundation.

Rotarians cost to sponsor $25/student.

PURPOSE: to Introduce Rotary to 155 high school future leaders.

We share the importance of leadership and giving back to the community and worldwide.

Sponsorships help cover the cost of the students and also raises money to give back in scholarships to top deserving students at the end of the year. (H.S. Senior for college, Service Above Self Awards, RYLA, Exchange Student opportunity.)

Featured Speaker & Announcements
Recap Oct 28, 2024
Recap:
Last week we had the pleasure of listening to Maria Verde, Acupuncturist/ Bodywork Specialist. Maria shared her background and the benefits of acupuncture, and other modalities; such as massage, reiki, sound therapy, crystals etc. to bring the body back into balance, reducing stress, inflammation, pain, etc. If you are interested in seeing other options visit Clear Mountain Wellness

We appreciate those that dressed up in hats for our Oct 31 meeting. We now know who the competitive ones are trying to win a prize.
Pictured Bob Lear, Marlo Merhige, Pres. Stacy Rodriguez & Trudie Lear. Thanks for being a good sport.

Congratulations to Marlo Merhige for placing 2nd in Figure competition in Masters 50+ and 4th in novice. Way to go!!!

Asst. Governor Mitchell Marcus briefly shared about the District Conference in Hershey and about the District Foundation Dinner in Wilkes Barre on Nov 16, 2:30-4:30 $40/pp. (see your email from MaryEllen Bentler) "This event is a great opportunity to celebrate Paul Harris Fellows, Major Donors, PH Society, Benefactors and Bequest Society along with Arch Klumph Society in our District." ~ MaryEllen Bentler

If you missed the matching of foundation donations, you could join in and for a minimum donation of $100, the District will match dollar for dollar. When you reach the $1,000 giving mark you earn your Paul Harris Award.   Money donated to the foundation goes out to do good in the world and in 3 years 50% comes back to the district so we could give back to our local communities in the form of grants.  We are close to 100% participation and earning our EREY

We should all be proud with our initial drive in September, we have 18 Paul Harris recipients, whom we will honor at our holiday party on Dec 19 at Peppe's Bistro.  Our satellite club will also be 10 years strong!!!

It was great seeing our visiting Rotarians from North and South Carolina, Dave & Ann Super, and Jim Becker.  Thank you, Jim Becker, for sharing the history of the leadership luncheon with at both meetings and also taking the time to help with the fundraising for our H.S. Leadership luncheon.  We are so close to having all the students and administration sponsored for the event. Keep them coming in. We have till Wednesday to include logo's and business card ad's in the program.
We heard the speaker for this meeting is out of this world.

Thank you, Mike Raub, for donating the eggs for auction at our meeting the high bidder was Eric Keber at $8! Thank you, Eric Keber for filling in as Sargeant at Arms, you're doing a great job! We appreciate you.
