Recap Thank you Jodi Crimmel from Days for Girls and mango farms presentation. “Days for Girls works to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have improved health, education and livelihoods. To date, we have reached over 3 million women and girls with our life-changing menstrual health solutions.” Thank you for your participation in Pedals for Progress: Paul & Judy Schuchman owners of Odd Lot Outlet - best location to have, Leslie Underhill who spearheaded the event, Gene Prospero, partner in crime, Amy Leiser, and her daughter, Greta (who was incredible & jumped right in), Chiffon Bourjolly and her daughter, John Beljean, John Dennis, V.P. Mike Raub, Pres. Stacy Rodriguez (aka Zoe the Clown), Dick & Carole Ludwig stopped by (Dick was the one who spearheaded this event in the past for many years), Past President Dave Woods, Carmine Corridore, Zerla Bartolome, 2 volunteers from Scout Troop 300, my apologies I did not get the list of names. Past President Cleo Jarvis stopped by to drop off 2 bicycles. It was great how the word spread through posting and distribution of flyers, word of mouth, FaceBook & Instagram posts. Friends came by and dropped off, friends of friends, other Rotary clubs came by and dropped off, it was great to see. Most made monetary donations to offset shipping costs, some did not but I believe we reached our required financial goal. Great job to all. Alan from Pedals for Progress was very pleased. Thank you, Ray Starner, for bringing Angela Tani to our lunch meeting. Angela was an exchange student back in the day when Ray was President. She reached out to him like it was yesterday. Angela had a great time reconnecting with Rotarians from 3o years ago. She sends her love to all. I have her contact info to share if anyone is interested. |
