Update on our first "100 Acts of Kindness" event. Our first project was a smashing success thanks to our dedicated members, our generous community, and Channel 13 media coverage. We were excited to partner with Pocono Mountains United Way (PMUW) on our first endeavor of 100 Acts of Kindness.

This week Rotarians Stacy Rodriguez, Pete Andrews, Ed Schaefer, Dave and Ann Super and PDG Karen DeMatteo were part of a crew that packed 538 backpacks.  Rotarian Ed Schaefer, District Executive for Minsi Trails Council  brought Assistant Scoutmaster Tim Hinton, and Scouts Landyn Hinton, Kellen Hinton and Anthony Salvi from Gilbert Troop 101. PA State Trooper Anthony Petroski, Troop N Community Services Officer and Troopers Jasmine Berrocal, Carl Puskar and Ryan Seiple from Office of Community Engagement joined the crew to help packing. Community member Bob Moses also helped. This was an amazing effort that shows how integral Stroudsburgs Rotary is to the community. For our first activity, we collected hundreds of school supplies - giving back to our community the first of a hundred acts of kindness every month!
