Assistant Governor Bill Skinner introduced DG Mary Ellen Bentler who shared her vision for the 2021-2022 Rotary year under her leadership. Every month Rotary has a different theme and the September theme is Literacy. So what is the tallest building in the world? A library since it has so many stories. President Skekhar Mehta says to get involved in service projects. That is the best way to live. And DG Bentler follows that philosophy and encourages other Rotarians to take that path. She encouraged us to achieve the goals set in the Presidential Citation as a measure of our impact. She talked about RLI with upcoming in person and virtual classes. Plans are underway for a District dance at Shadowbrook in Tunkhannock. Stay tuned for more information. Welcome new members to Rotary. Jessica Pope is in charge of District Public Image. Reach out to her for ideas and help. District Conference will be 5/5-7/2022 in Lake Cayuga. RI Convention will be in Houston, TX 6/12-16/2022. Theme is Discover New Horizons.
