Lunch: St. Matthews Church in the Community
Father Brian J. T. Clarke is a priest of the Diocese of Scranton who currently serves as Senior Priest at Saint Matthew Parish in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and as Chaplain of Notre Dame Junior/Senior High School.
A native son of northeastern Pennsylvania, Father Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Scranton before pursuing his priestly formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he received graduate degrees in theology and divinity. He later continued advanced studies at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute, deepening his understanding of theology, marriage, and family life.
Over his years of priestly ministry, Father Brian has served in a variety of leadership and pastoral roles throughout the Diocese of Scranton. He was chaplain at Holy Cross High School, Master of Ceremonies for the Bishop of Scranton, pastor of Ascension Parish and Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, and later pastor of Christ the King Parish in Archbald. Since 2023, he has brought his experience, faith, and pastoral care to the Saint Matthew Parish community and Notre Dame High School.
Known for his thoughtful preaching, commitment to Catholic education, and dedication to accompanying people in every stage of life, Father Brian strives to help others encounter Christ through prayer, service, and authentic community. His ministry reflects a deep love for the Church and a passion for helping people grow in faith and discipleship.
