Nikki O'Malley came to our club to share with us her journey with Lyme Disease. She says that this disease has taken everything from her and she was in a wheelchair barely able to talk, walk or see. She thought it was about to take her life but it did not due to the support from her family and their search across the country looking for answers. Common symptoms of Lyme Disease are headaches, cognitive issues, gout, nerve pain, sleep disturbance and heart palpitations. She had undergone blood testing that was looking for antibodies but it isn't always found in the bloodstream.
